Embrace - When my pet has passed on I will never…
When my pet has passed on I will never use Embrace again for my insurance needs. They don't really care about your pet they only care about money. I understand that my premium goes up each year based on our dogs age but they try to claim they don't raise your premium based on past claims, with is false. I had several claims last year and low and behold my premium increased by $140 for the year. From $116 to $256 and you can't tell me this wasn't because I had several claims. The only option was to reduce my coverage in order to get a lower premium which is absurd. Like I said all they care about is money. Insurance companies over all are a total rip off in my opinion.

Please STAY AWAY FROM EMBRACE. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. They prey on people who love their pets, then do everything in their power to weasel their way out of coverage. DO NOT TRUST THESES PEOPLE!!
1. They dig into the smallest "preexisting condition" not to cover your pets. In this case they blamed a self inflicted scratched eye from a dry eye in 2022. Once my opthamologist was able to prove thats its not from dry eye, they want additional proof from my primary doctor. They then blamed a scratched eye from cataract.
2. They pride themselves as "24/7 Pet Health Line Through Pawsupport" that's a LIE. You can't reach them outside of their business hours.
3. Increased my monthly coverage by more than 50% without telling me. You can't find the billing statement unless you call to enquire or check your bank account.
4. It's hard to send them additional proof through the portal if you'd like to dispute their decision. You'd have to call and ask for an email.
These people are pure evil and unethical, they DO NOT CARE about you or your animal. Please, do not make the same mistakes I did. THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM!
Nationwide - Manipulated and robbed
I obtained pet insurance for both my dog and my cat. My dog had a dental exclusion. I was told after my dog had his teeth pulled and a cleaning, they would remove that exclusion. He had 19 teeth pulled and all out of pocket due to the exclusion. I was then told that they will not remove the exclusion. In fact, they added several more exclusions that cam AFTER I signed up for insurance which means they should have covered it as it came but instead they just added to the exclusion. Any surgery side of issues would basically not be covered and all of his wellness would cap out which would make having the insurance more expensive than not having it whether from wellness or emergency service needs. I also had insurance for my cat and it cost more to have the insurance than to keep him up to date with other needs. The customer service rep was very kind and turnaround time on claims are quite rapid which is how I ended up with a 2 star rating. Other than that, very manipulative and not worth the money.
Pets Plus Us - Think Twice Before Choosing PetPlus US
After paying premiums for over 9 years—two of my surgery claims totaling approximately $14,000 were denied without proper justification. Despite being a long-term customer, the support and coverage I expected were simply not there when I needed them most.
I've since spoken to other pet parents who have had better experiences with alternative providers. Sadly, due to the age of my pet now, switching insurance is no longer an option for me.
I strongly urge anyone considering PetPlus US to do thorough research and weigh your options carefully before committing. Your pet deserves better, and so do you.

I still don't have an account- I paid but didn't get an email with my account information on it.
Embrace - Same old same old
Same old same old as any other insurance company. Every angle is covered to get out of paying claims. The typical denial of payment because of some irrelevant information that they are missing, inaccurately attributed unrelated new health issues to pre-existing conditions, inordinate delays in response after placing claims on hold because of “review” process. Be prepared to pay out premiums in addition to having to pay for vet services out of your own pocket. Completely taking advantage of owners’ love of their pets.
Embrace - Do not use this company
Worst decision I made was switching to this insurance company. Final act was when they refused to cover any cancer for my dogs in the future because a skin tag that was removed wasn’t aspirated. Even though notes from vet stating nothing unusual noticed on removal they refuse to cover any type of cancers in the future. Trash company!
MetLife - Confusing reply and the further instruction after i contacted Metlife.
I received this generic reply from Metlife 'Hello, Maurizio. We are sorry to hear of your frustrations regarding your experience with MetLife Pet Insurance. We would like to speak with you further regarding your experience. Please email us directly, with your contact information, at ..... and a team member will reach out to you directly. Thank you.'
When I contacted Metlife they gave me an email to the CEO. I can't believe this a joke over $12?
Fetch - They claim to genuinely care about…
They claim to genuinely care about their customers, saying, “While we do our best to explain coverage based on the terms of the policy…”, in reality, you log into your account only to see claim denied, claim denied, claim denied… with nothing but a vague reference to the terms and conditions. They don’t even bother to provide an explanation or point to a specific section of the policy.
If they truly cared about their customers, the most important parts of the terms and conditions—especially regarding pre-existing conditions and the few conditions that are never covered—would be clearly displayed on the first page of their website, not buried in microscopic lettering deep within their terms and conditions. They don’t do this because they know people would be aware of these limitations and most likely wouldn’t sign up for their insurance.
Caring means being transparent so pet owners can make informed decisions upfront, not blindsiding them during some of the most difficult and heartbreaking moments of their lives.
Pumpkin - Waiting period applies
There is a waiting period that applies, so do not think you can bet this insurance and use it in less than a couple of weeks. Did not really look for fine print, so it may be in there somewhere, but it was not something that jumped out at me.
