Embrace - Don't pay attention when reviewing
I have had a lot of trouble with getting claims processed correctly. Often they process for the wrong pet, or don't pay correctly (i.e., pay more for the wrong pet, less for the other). The new claims issue is they state my cats' receipts aren't legible. That's impossible - clear as can be. Their email says to check out the claims in the portal, but neither claim is there for either pet, and there is no correspondence in the portal. I just resubmitted 2 wellness claims from Feb! I don't know if they're working from home and getting interrupted

I don't like how.i spent 221 for insurance, and since shes an adopted dog and got kennel cough right when we got her, I couldn't use my insurances when it was important to get her checked and medication.
Trupanion Canada - All they do is raise premiums
All they do is raise premiums when you're in too deep. And, like most insurers, they love denying claims. I regret not just saving the money in an interest-bearing account. 100% not worth it.
Claims process is a pain in the a....
Trupanion is 1 click email not so with this.
Trupanion - I’ve spent enough time trying to figure…
I’ve spent enough time trying to figure out what claims I submitted were covered. From what I could see very few of my claims were covered. Trupanion‘s website needs improvement. I canceled my membership. Paying monthly and wasting money.
Spot - Awful support from techs. Overall horrible at the most basic parts of their job.
Your technicians are really not great at their job nowadays. I have had to jump through so many hoops for 20$ off my heartworm test. Meanwhile we pay you hundreds of dollars and you’re going to nickel and dime your customers for 20$? The first tech couldn’t understand how annual wellness bloodwork included heartworm, so fine, I get the SOAP notes to prove there’s heartworm testing. Only for the second person to tell me I need an invoice showing payment. AS IF THAT WASN’T ALREADY SUPPLIED!! The lack of thought by your employees is quite frustrating. You charge so much and we get so little from the start. Just to have to fight tooth and nail for 20$ off our heartworm test, which by the way doesn’t even cover the entire cost of the test.

Spot - Spot Insurance is scam
I am beyond disappointed with Spot Pet Insurance. They are nothing more than a scam designed to take your money without providing the service they promise. Despite submitting all required documentation multiple times, they denied my claim with the excuse that the records were not provided—this is an outright lie.
I personally submitted the paperwork multiple times, and so did my regular vet, the emergency vet, and the specialty vet. I was BCC’d on every email they sent to Spot, so I know for a fact that all the required records were submitted. Yet, Spot still denied the claim, saying they never received the records.
This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional, and it proves that Spot Pet Insurance will do everything they can to avoid paying claims. They are taking advantage of pet owners during stressful and emotional times when their pets need care the most.
If you are considering Spot Pet Insurance, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They are dishonest and will waste your time and money. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Avoid Spot Pet Insurance at all costs!
Figo - It’s a scam - stay away
Stay away from this “service” it’s more of a scam than anything. They do everything in their power not to pay and even for the most obvious issues. Delay, delay, then deny, deny. Makes United Healthcare look like a good option.
ASPCA - Horrible. Deny claims.
Horrible. Accepted us under insurance and then conveniently wouldn't cover claims because of “pre-existing conditions…” despite being undiagnosed for anything. It would have been nice if they told us this before we paid a large sum of money for multiple months. We recieved 0$ despite clearly meeting our deductible… and oh by the way, all the money we spent on those bills did not EVEN count for the deductible… Anyone having these issues just go to AKC as they are only pet insurance that’ll cover “pre-existing” conditions. This also applies to “pre-existing” conditions that are UNDIAGNOSED. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
