Horrible to deal with and most claims are getting denied! The only thing they seem to be successful at is raising their monthly cost! Started at $95 in 2016 and am now at a $203 monthly fee! Do not choose Trupanion, your pet deserves better!

Prudent Pet Insurance Is a Scam. They Lied and Took My Money
I’m absolutely disgusted by the experience I had with Care.com’s pet insurance. When I signed up, I went out of my way to provide them with years of detailed medical history for my pets. I specifically asked if they had everything they needed to ensure there would be no surprises when it came time to file a claim. They told me everything was good to go. I trusted them, big mistake.
Fast forward to my first claim, and suddenly they’re telling me they don’t have enough medical records , that my pets didn’t have the “required” recent exams within the past year. This was never mentioned during sign-up, and it directly contradicted what I was told. Basically, they lied to me for months, happily taking my money the whole time, only to pull this bait-and-switch when I actually needed coverage.
The entire process felt deliberately designed to avoid paying out legitimate claims. It’s clear Care.com’s pet insurance is nothing more than a cash grab. They are completely untrustworthy, and I would never recommend them to anyone who actually cares about their pets.
Do not fall for it. You’re better off putting your monthly premium into a savings account, at least then you’ll actually be able to use it when your pet needs care. UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE: No where has this ever been started as a pre-existing condition. If it had, I wouldn't be calling you a fraud. Nice try. This company is disgraceful.
Spot - Good But Could Be Better
I had Bivvy previously and think it is unfair that all my pet’s allergies that were covered under Bivvy are now considered preexisting conditions under Spot. In addition, for as much as I spend on Sage’s insurance, I feel that I should be fully reimbursed for all charges associated with his annual wellness exam.
Fetch Canada - Possibly the worst company I've dealt…
Possibly the worst company I've dealt with. I had 2 accounts with them under 2 different emails (one was under another person's name). We reached out together to join them under my email and a credit card. Here is how that went:
Each email response was sent from a different person who had no idea what the request was. They kept calling me different names. They made a mistake changing the email and set it to @nomail instead of @gmail, then claimed that this is what I asked for. After that they finally changed it to the correct email, but that somehow removed me from accessing ANY of the 2 accounts I had. I tried waiting for a while to see if the issue gets fixed - nothing happened. So I tried cancelling. Here is how that went:
I replied in the same thread asking to cancel. I got another person, who told me that the reason why I can't access my accounts is because of me - I asked for an email change and not account transfer (but I have a thread where I explicitly asked for the account transfer right in front of me). They also said that I need to call them to cancel. So I called. Here is how that went:
I was put on a hold for a while, then I finally got to speak to a real person. She confirmed that she can see all of the pets under my email and the credit card, but said that I am not authorized to cancel this and there is nothing she can do about it other than transfer me back to the support department that asked me to call.
Ultimately, I was charged for years of service that I never received, and the company repeatedly attempted to gaslight me by shifting the blame for their errors onto me. The only positive note is that the person on the phone was at least friendly about not helping me.
Update: after posting this review, fetch called me and offered to terminate the accounts. I agreed to it, but I am still getting messages about missed payments, so not sure if anything really changed…

They deny almost every claim you submit. No matter what medical records you provide. Whether you have the wellness policy or not. To be blunt, it's a waste of time and money. I would suggest looking at alternative pet insurance bc this one will not benefit you. I just cancelled.

Nationwide - Rate for my 4 yr old dog has doubled from last year
My dog, Angel Sedona, recd a notification for her 1st renewal. The rate for her policy had doubled from $500+ to $1000+. Doubled! Also the rate for renewal on the website was just over $600 which would make sense but the company says there was a rate increase and no one can tell me why the website has $600+ for renewal but they are quoting over $1000. Today will be my 6th call to try to get answers instead of a run around. There were other issues as well, after the 3rd call, the reimbursement amount mysteriously went from 80% to 50% without my knowledge or request to do so. It has been a nightmare to just get any answers or renew her policy
