ASPCA - company is truly a scam…
This insurance company is truly a scam when it comes to paying out. If it’s routine there’s not a problem. However don’t waste your time, energy, or money on any other plans. They will lie about contacting the vet office, lie about attaching files, lie about calling you back, and lie about what they need. I have been fighting this company for almost two months for insurance I pay for. If I’d just put everything I pay for this in an account I’d have had better luck. The last contact was being promised by a supervisor that multiple people would be written up for lying to a customer and not doing their jobs only to once again have the supervisor lie to us and again not reopen a claim that they had all the information on in the first place. Don’t waste your money. I’ve already sent in complaints to the better business bureau. It’s disappointing that they offer to help and just leave you in a worse spot with more stress when you animal has injuries .

Healthy Paws - Falsified my dogs breed, increased my premium
They changed their billing and now use an outside company so there's a minimum 3% surcharge on top of your monthly premium if you use a credit card. They want you to link your bank account to this unaffiliated company to avoid the surcharge, which is a huge no for me considering they falsified her breed on their own and increased one of my dogs premium an additional $100 a month.
They changed my dogs breed, despite a letter from her veterinarian saying she is not the breed they changed her to, without my consent, which increased her monthly premium to an additional $100. They refuse to refund me the money they overcharged me. I had to have my vet write another letter clearly stating her breed, despite them having her current veterinary records with her correct breed listed on them. This company is one of the worst pet insurance companies around and I would never recommend them
Healthy paws- I am not giving some random company a direct link to my bank account. That is absolutely insane. I signed up with your company, not the ones you contract with. And considering how you randomly increase her rate almost 100 a month, there is 0 chance im giving you access to my bank account. You can attempt to justify it any way you want, it's still deceptive and Im not the only one that has a problem with it based on reviews and what people say on social media. Now that my dogs had some claims, im stuck with your sub par company. My dogs name is Lottie. Ive spent more time on the phone with your reps regarding you guys changing her breed on your own than any other company or person in my life.

Very slow to acknowledge and process claims. Still waiting to hear the results from a bordetella immunization that was submitted weeks ago.
MetLife - Not sure it is worth the fee
Not sure if my policy is worth the monthly fee. I submit a claim and it is denied? It is hard to contact CS and the rates have increased twice since we enrolled.
Fetch Canada - AVOID AT ALL COSTS – This Company Does Not Care About Your Pet
I’ve been with this company for over 4 years, paying premiums faithfully every month to ensure my dog was covered in case of health issues. Like many pet owners, I got insurance to help during emergencies—not to be punished for actually using it.
Over the years, my dog developed health conditions (which is exactly why we get insurance), and I submitted claims when needed. Now, I’m being hit with a massive premium increase—from $83 to over $128 a month—because I used the insurance I paid for. Disgusting.
What makes it worse is that no other provider will take on my dog now due to pre-existing conditions, so I’m stuck with this company that clearly doesn’t care about animals or loyal customers. It’s a trap, and it feels like a scam. I now have to consider a second job just to afford this nonsense.
This company claims to care about pets, but in my experience, they only care about profit. Please do your research and think twice before signing up. Once you're in, they know you have no way out—and they take full advantage of that.
Pets Best - Need improvement
We used to have Healthy Paws but with 2 new dogs we tried Pets Best. Their price on one dog was lower but slightly higher on the other. We submitted a claim and it came back and they paid it as it should be paid however they took much longer to pay than healthy paws. I also don't like that they can't mail you a check this way I can tell that they paid it. Instead I had to keep checking my account to see if the money went in. I will reevaluate my contract when it's up.
MetLife - Amount of time to settle my claim
I didn't like how long it took for my claim to be settled. I did like that once it was settled I received reimbursement quickly. I did chat with a representative as well and they were helpful.
