Pets Best - Horrible
Don’t use this pet insurance. Firstly the app never works, which is why the process is horrible. 2nd they considered constipation as a preexisting condition which is why my claim was denied (which is absolutely insane) 3rd customer service is absolutely zero help. I am disputing the claim but I doubt anything will happen. Waste of money. Tell people to not use them!

You can do 2 things, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau AND file a complaint with your states DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE!
They are the ones who regulate insurance companies.
That includes pet insurance.

It is so difficult to understand the policy. I have been submit a claimed and still pending that I don't understand at all what the problem. There is request the medical records from 7/29/2024 which I don't have a puppy yet. I have my puppy in Jan,2025. He got sick in Jan 29 and I couldn't claim that one because of the insurance that I bought was not kick in yet. But after that still now all the claimed I submitted is still pending.
Figo - Declaration not reimbursed - inadequate registration procedure
My claim for the treatment of a bladder infection of our cat was not reimbursed by Figo, referring to a comment in his file that, according to me and our vet, has no causal link with bladder infection whatsoever. Our cat developed a bladder infection 5 weeks after taking out the insurance, so in essence Figo's suggestion is that I would purposefully have registered our cat while he already had a bladder infection, and then let him walk around with it for 1½ months, just to be able to declare the invoice? What an annoying and also disrespectful insinuation.....
It now appears that our cat is not insured for a whole series of conditions as a result. If I had known this in advance, I would never have insured my cat with Figo. I therefore believe that Figo's registration procedure is seriously inadequate and places a disproportionate amount of responsibility on the policyholder. I registered a 100% healthy animal in good faith, and Figo is looking for a reason in the file to avoid a claim. It would be fairer for Figo to give a person who applies the claim the option to have the file reviewed, so that any exclusions are clear in advance. Because of this omission, I am now paying a year's premium for a cat that is barely insured.
Even after filing a formal complaint, Figo does not say a word about the inadequate registration procedure and does not move an inch towards a lenient treatment. Very disappointing! My advice is therefore to have Figo assess the file of an older animal with a file at the vet first, to avoid any nasty surprises later on.

Even after vet clarified report that kitten did not have a pre existing condition. Have been paying $150 month for two kittens for 8 months
I feel like I was fleeced.
Sent in paperwork and police case number for missing cat. Discovered Fetch denied receipt. Have to resend information. How convenient they don't have the police case number. Was not reimbursed for advertising material nor $150 replacement costs for another cat.
A shocking experience. I will not be giving my money to Fetch ever again.
MetLife - Claims don’t get paid
It has been impossible to get a claim paid. I have given all of the documents several times and still can’t get it resolved. The Vet sent the information again and I’m still told that it’s still pending. I’m at a loss
Spot - The policy terms and what is covered…
The policy terms and what is covered are not clear. For example flea and heartworm preventive is only covered at $25 per year not per treatment. The website states no waiting period that is wrong. My first claim was denied because they stated my policy was not active yet. I have had 5 claims submitted and only 3 paid. Not worth the money. I will not be renewing my policy. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
MetLife - Claim denial and appeal process
My policy includes preventative care coverage and my claim for anal gland expression was denied even though it is specifically listed under preventative care. The reason for denial is not clear on the EOB so I called customer service learn that I would first need to see the Vet and have the Vet recommend the procedure. I agree with that for standard policy coverage. The preventative care coverage does not state that I first need to see the Vet. The appeal process is complicated and designed so that customers will decide it is not worth the hassle. Poor customer support and service. Embrace - What a horrible company
What a horrible company. They just increased our premium by 68% this year. When I called and asked why we had such a large increase they stated it was because we had been with them a long time and our dog did not have any pre-existing conditions. Steer far clear of this company!
Pets Best - Do not recommend
Purchased their most expensive coverage after the vet told me I could use this company to get reimbursement for the money spent on my dog’s care. He is a rescue and didn’t have any allergy issues when we first got him. When they developed we got him insurance and then took him to the vet. Filed a claim and was denied because they determined it was a preexisting condition. Which it was not. So I wasted $60 on coverage for NOTHING. terrible customer service. absolutely zero coverage. Literally just a scam.
