Stopped answering my emails, after rejecting my initial claim. Now charged me despite I have not updated my credit card information and didn't refund. Anywhere, but here. Total fraud.

Claimed they couldn't get medical records but vet had no record of them contacting. Been a member for almost a year, filed my first claim and within 3 weeks got notice that my premiums were going up 30%. Wtf.

It has been 3 weeks still no payment very disappointing.

I signed up for Prudent's highest tier insurance coverage so that my kittens would be covered for anything, including their spays. What it doesnt tell you prior to signing up is that only $30 of a Spay surgery is covered. In my area a spay is easily $700 - 1,000. I have been trying to contact them for 3 days to cancel my coverage (I am still within their refund window) but they are impossible to get ahold of.

The claims submission process wasn't that bad but the system was slow. Not sure if it was my internet connection or the website. I can give a better review of the reimbursement process once I see how long it takes to settle my claim and whether they cover what my policies says it will.

Hospital coverage was great however, the vet hospital asked me to make a decision about my pet from a price range which was outrageous BEFORE the Trupanion insurance coverage was applied. I don’t understand why they can’t run it thru for coverage and tell you exactly how much they’re going to charge you AFTER the insurance pays upfront so you can make a proper decision for your pet!!! As you checkout it literally goes thru within 1 minute. Odds are you’re going to get your pet the full treatment it needs once you realize that AFTER the insurance goes thru the price isn’t quite as horrific! It’s not like human insurance that can take months to shake out. It’s just not a good way to make a proper decision for your pet’s care. Then my other complaint is that the vet that convinced me to sign up for Trupanion in the first place doesn’t even submit the claim at all.. our regular vet. You have to do that yourself! Not to mention, then basic vet care doesn’t even get covered so it’s only for vet emergencies. In my opinion for paying $982/per year, it should cover more than just emergency visits. (Which hopefully only occur once in your dog’s lifetime whereas annual visits occur annually!!!) Better than nothing but come on!!!

Customer service needs considerable improvement and attention. Also, incorrect information is often shared.

I trust Nationwide insurance for Pet protection!

I am not sure why they do this but, my dog punctured his front leg and had a patch of skin hanging. Vet did sutures and before covering the surgery Embrace required all medical records from all vets he may have seen. This I can understand. However, my pup broke open his wound requiring an additional two surgeries and again, embrace is requiring all medical records from all current and prior vets. They already have this information. Why are they making me wait for reimbursement? Do I have the option of paying them only when I know that they will cover a procedure? No. So review your records and reimburse me. This is why I have insurance because sometimes life happens.

Every time I submit something, they tell me that it’s not covered. I’ve been spending money on this insurance for so many years, and it’s just been $$ down the drain while I pay full price at the vet.
