GEICO - Could separate auto policy for 17F reduce premium?
I currently have an auto policy with only my teenage daughter (17F) after removing my STBX from the policy, but I feel like the premium for my car is higher than it should be and I'm wondering if there are any ways to reduce the premium. I am a 40M with a very clean driving record, my daughter had a claim last October where she hit a fire hydrant and the repair was \~$10k or so (no meaningful property damage to the hydrant). I drive a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and she drives a 2017 Audi A4 that her grandmother gave her. Total monthly premium with GEICO is $548 for my car and $366 for her car. I believe the average Model 3 insurance rate in Colorado should be closer to $300/month and I'm just trying to think of ways to lower my premium. Is it possible to separate policies and save money if I make it so that she can't drive my car and doesn't need to be insured for that? Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated!
Guardian Dental - helping understand guardian dental
Hello! I have Guardian Dental insurance. I just received a bill where I am responsible for $217 - Guardian only paid $47.00. Services billed were D0120 and D4910 (Periodic Eval and Periodontal Maintenance). I went on my Guardian account and it says that both codes are covered 100%. They are both under preventative and the coinsurance is listed as 100%.
"Detailed and extensive oral evaluation (D0160) is not covered. **Oral evaluations, including codes** ***D0120***\*\*, D0145, D0150, D0170, D0180 or D9430, are covered once in any 6 consecutive month period.\*\* The limited oral evaluation - problem focused (D0140) is not included in the frequency limitation or last visit date."
"Periodontal maintenance (D4910) is covered under the Basic service category. Adult prophylaxis (D1110) is covered age 12 and over. Prophylaxis (cleaning) (D1110, D1120) or **periodontal maintenance (D4910) is covered once in any 6 consecutive month period."**
My date of service was 3/6/25. I have not had any other services in the last six months. My last visit was 9/3/2024. My deductible is $50, "Yes" means waived for preventative. To date, I met the $50 deductible and Remaining is "0".

My deductible is $50 and it says I paid it... and my coinsurance is 100%? So even for preventative services, this means I'm responsible in paying all of my dental care beyond the first $50? My yearly plan limit is $1000. What is even the point of having health insurance? Is this because I got basic coverage instead of full coverage? I guess I'm ignorant and thought that preventive care would be covered. I feel really stupid right now! I tried calling, but they aren't open. Any assistance to help me understand is appreciated.
AXA Equitable - Job offering 401k through AXA equitable. Should I not do it?
I’ve been reading and have found out that many considers equitable a terrible company.
However all the information I’ve read is more from an investing point of view rather that this scenario.
So is it equally as terrible for 401k as with investing? Am I good to take advantage of the 401k while working here (I’m not planning to work there for years or anything) or should I just get that money and invest it myself on an IRA fidelity’s account?

Odie Pet Insurance - Odie Pet Insurance
I hope this info helps and would love any additional details anyone else may have… As I assume there are a multitude of others that are in the exact same (sinking) boat.
Had ManyPets for 2 years. Used it and Loved it. Premium went up 223% this year when they announced the switch to Odie. Shortly after I sent an email disputing that increase, I got an email from both ManyPets and Odie stating that they had found a discrepancy and revised my premium amount to a much lower rate. THEN, days after, Odie went ahead and charged the Amex I had in file with ManyPets without authorization AND it was for an amount greater than they had originally stated. I have emailed them a dozen times over the last 2 to 3 weeks, tried to reach them on chat through the portal, and I've been calling every day. I've only been able to find two numbers that are intended for customer care: (877) 327-0471 & (877) 427-0471 I get nowhere with either one. Continuous on old music on one, dead air on the other. I contacted American Express, as I had my auto-payment with ManyPets set up with them (in hindsight, that was very smart). I created a dispute and they removed the AmEx card for future payments, but have started that I need to get someone on the phone or an answer via email proving they understand I wish to cancel. It sounds as though unless I can do that, I may be out that initial charge that hit on 1/3. The Amex representative did help me track down a third number he found listed on the Internet somewhere: (212) 645-2884. This is a New York number and is eventually sent to Voicemail for someone named Miles Darson. I've now called this number and left a message two days in a row. Still have no reply.
I will say, I looked up the Odie office location on a map and it's very near the area in California where all the raging fires are going on. I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with this, but also can't imagine they wouldn't post information for all their clients or answer the phone and reply to emails. It appears as though they just took everybody's money and ran ...
Happy that I was only charged once and was able to cancel future payments through AMEX, but even just on principle… I want my money back from the initial charge. Extremely infuriating.
Edfinancial - Credit Score Tanked by 100+ Points - Fully Paid Small Student Loan (Edfinancial)
Hi guys.
I just needed help on getting my '90+ day' delinquent mark removed. I had a 3k loan that I completely forgot about during covid since it has been paused and one day woke up learning that my loan was transferred to edfinancial in Jan and that my credit dropped by a 100+ points as of 2 days ago.
I got zero warnings, no 30 day or 60 day notification. My credit report says that this is the only missed payment. I own a home and car so I'm not desperate to fix my credit but feel like it's unfair for me to ruin my credit for a simple miscommunication.
I called Edfinancial and they are not budging. I got the same agent twice on two different days lol. I guess they got their money and don't want to deal with me any longer.
My question is can I dispute this with the 3 main credit bureaus? I'm not even sure how to even word the dispute as I'm so confused.
First Enroll - Parents being charged by insurance company they don't use?
My mom was checking her and dad's bank statements and for some reason they're being charged by First Enroll but mom says that that isn't the insurance company they use. Any clue why this would be happening? Is some type of scam or fraud?
Just so you know, I know almost nothing about how insurance works so sorry if I seem stupid.
ICICI Lombard - ICICI Lombard Tried to Guilt Trip Me During Porting
I've had a health insurance policy for my mother with ICICI Lombard since 2007. The recent premium was ₹70,000 (including GST) for a sum insured of ₹3 lakhs + ₹3 lakhs bonus, totaling ₹6 lakhs annually.
For the past few years, I had been meaning to port the policy but never got around to it. This year, I finally managed to do it—moved to Care Insurance. The new plan offers ₹10 lakhs sum insured with a 50% increase each year, covers pre/post hospitalization, existing diseases, and even includes a few more benefits. And all this for a significantly better premium of 51000 (inclusive GST).
After I initiated the port, I got a call from ICICI Lombard asking if I wanted to renew. I politely informed them that I had ported to Care. As expected, they started with the usual pitch about how ICICI is better than Care. When I still didn’t budge, the agent had the audacity to say:
**“Lagta hai aap yeh premium afford nahi kar sakte.”**
(Translation: *Looks like you can't afford this premium.*)
Really? Is this how some insurance companies try to manipulate customers—by playing on their ego?
Anyway, I'm glad I finally made the switch. ICICI may want to revisit how their customer support operates.
