Embrace - I have submitted my pet's records…
I have submitted my pet's records multiple times to Embrace and so has my vet. I keep getting messages that I have to resend them and that my claims are on hold until my vet and myself resubmit the invoices. I have met other people that have Embrace and they never had this issue. My vet clinic is surprised also, as they submit many claims to them as well.

Pets Best - Processing Claims takes forever.
I think it takes way too long for Pets Best to process claims. Every. Single. Time. I get an email apologizing for the delay in processing my claim. If you have time to send that email you have time to process my claim. It is not very difficult. For this reason alone, I would never recommend Pets Best to another pet owner.
Embrace - Disappointed and Let Down After Years as a Loyal Member
I’ve been a loyal Embrace customer since 2016, and after nearly a decade of paying monthly premiums, I’m walking away extremely disappointed.
First off, the recent price increase was never discussed, just suddenly pushed onto my account. After nearly 9 years of loyalty and barely using the coverage, I wasn’t even offered a loyalty discount, a downgrade option, or anything to help keep my policy affordable. Just a higher bill.
Even worse, when I decided to cancel my policy, I was given a minimal refund on my Wellness Rewards, despite not using a single dollar of the $250 annual benefit this year. I was refunded only $9.22 how does that even make sense?
As for my claims? I submitted only 3 in 9 years, and not one was ever reimbursed because I didn’t meet the annual deductible. So, not only did I pay every month, I also ended up paying out of pocket for every vet visit. In the end, I got nothing in return but rising costs and frustrating customer service.
This company truly let me down. What hurts most is that after so many years, I expected at least a little effort to keep me as a customer, but instead, I felt ignored, undervalued, and betrayed. I can’t recommend Embrace to anyone looking for real support and fairness.
Healthy Paws - I dot recommend Healthy Paws. There is a reason their rating has dropped.
My dog has been insured by Healthy Paws for six years. I’ve never made a claim until now. Due to an injury from biting on something hard, he needed a root canal. I’ve been given the runaround for nearly two weeks. The adjuster considers it a “condition” vs an “injury.” He is asking for six years of medical records to establish it is not a preexisting “condition.” Healthy Paws does not allow consumers to speak with adjusters, only customer service people who read from a script. The only phone number for the entire company is that of customer service. The hold music is a loop of approximately 20 seconds from a Lynyrd Skinner song, and I’ve been on hold for over 40 minutes.
Please check current ratings of insurance companies. They may have been rated #1 in 2017, but this is 2025. I regret choosing Healthy Paws, and I regret referring them to my friends.
Pumpkin - Not the easy claims that I was promised
I have tried to do two claims and pumpkin keeps asking additional information. The vet clinic gave everything, and I uploaded, but the process is very cumbersome and not at all friendly as promised. I am thinking about changing insurance. Update: Some of my claims were denied, so for those thinking about this service please spare yourself a bad experience. I am definitely cancelling and moving to another service.
Embrace - I like the customer Reimbursement policy
I like the customer service very friendly. I dislike the time frame for getting a reimbursement if any. I dislike the amount you get back for reimbursement. I have upgraded my policy and my reimbursement is still not good.

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE! ITS A WASTE OF MONEY! If I could give 0 stars I would. We submitted a claim for my dog and they took OVER A MONTH to get back in contact with us, the only reason they did was because we continued to call with rarely having our phone calls even answered. After waiting this whole time they kept giving us the run around and then told us they wouldn’t be giving us any money that we spent at the vet and claimed with them. They wasted our time and money and took advantage of our business. We canceled immediately and I will be sure to let all of my friends and family know not to get this insurance!!
