I was involved in a motor vehicle accident where I hit two other vehicles at an intersection. I live in an “At fault” state and both of the other drivers told the Peace officer that I ran the red light. The officer gave me a citation for running a red light which I will be contesting in court. I gave the officer my proof of insurance card which was expired. Here’s where it gets interesting. The next day I contacted State Farm. State Farm told me that my insurance policy was canceled more than six months ago due to lack of payment. MY HEART SUNK. I canceled my credit card which was on an automatic payment cycle with them. They denied the claim as to be expected. However, I have insurance through Progressive on a secondary car that I literally NEVER DRIVE. But I have full liability coverage through them on a secondary car. My question. Will progressive cover the cost of the accident even if the truck was not on the policy? Will the other insurance companies go after progressive? Would progressive rather cover the cost upfront rather than go into litigation?

Hi all, I sold my business last year because it was not a profitable venture. The llc is closed and any remaining money was used to pay off equipment debts. The insurance company says I owe $10k in workers comp insurance for the previous year which they now have sent to a collections company. The business is closed and the llc is dissolved. Can they come after me personally for something like this?

So I did away with my previous wellness plans and went with Metlife insurance. At first they were great approving regular visits quickly and I was reimbursed quickly. But I've noticed since before December now they take extremely long to even assign the claims and then review them. It always seems like I have to reach out to them in which they always need the Doctors notes before they will approve anything. My pupps have gotten ear infections, ruptured glands, and upset stomach with diarrhea this year and it has taken several weeks and phone calls to get the claim processed and a couple I am still waiting on. So I am thinking of canceling them. Would love recommendations of a better company with a better app as well.

I will try to make it brief but can answer any additional questions. My wife and I started the process to have a baby. I was insured with Kaiser Permeante (KP) and went to my KP OB. I requested a specific genetic test to be completed (in writing). The DR ordered the wrong test, and instead of the largest panel I received the smallest panel. The records that were sent to me with the results have the name of the largest genetic test despite it actually being the smallest genetic test. I did not realize the error until a couple of months later when my wife and I had selected donors and had to go to a genetic counselor to ensure we did not have any of the same diseases. I was unable to move forward with me selected donors because I did not have the appropriate genetic test. At this time, I was no longer insured with KP and was now insured with BCBS. I went back to KP a requested they proved the correct test, they were unable to without drawing blood again. I proceeded with obtaining the correct genetic test under my new insurance. While waiting for the results both of my two donors were no longer available for purchase and I am now in the process of locating another donor. My wife and I are black, and we are only interested in a black donor. There is a national shortage of black donors and the two donors that we selected were high quality donors (attorney and a doctor). KP has acknowledged their mistake (in writing) and reimbursed me for the cost of the incorrect test. Can I sue the doctor for ordering the wrong test?

I have Wishbone pet insurance, and they are very slow to response for either. Everyone has been very nice, but my claim just got denied for 6 months after my dog ruptured her CCL. What is frustrating is she had the zoomies on 5/3/2025 and that is when she tore her CCL. My waiting period is 5/9/2025. Am I just out of luck and 5 days is the difference between 3k out of pocket?

I’m getting fed up with navigating these PPO plans. 3 tiers in network, out of network. Lab fees from pcps being sent out of network and charged outrageous amounts specialty providers working out of our primary hospital apparently “not covered”. I know there are others on here with worse situations. Surely there has to be a health insurance negotiator/broker that will help correct and track these charges to make sure we’re not getting wrecked by these incorrect charges. Something like a rocket money that will work through the fine print in the insurance contract and make sure we’re not being overcharged. I’m here for all the suggestions. We use Ascension smarthealth for reference and if you’re curious about it, stay away.

Just like it sounds. I was involved in an accident a month ago. Other person was declared fault. My insurance is handling it well. Unfort, every time the at fault persons insurance calls me and leaves a message, it’s a different adjustor? I’m curious to why that is. I only have 2 from my own insurance calling me, the regular adjustor and the person above him just in case we have more questions or he can’t answer a question himself. I just think it’s wierd that the other insurance company has tons of adjusters and it is annoying. Don’t know how they don’t miscommunication with one another. I honestly tell the other place to talk with my adjustor.

I faxed in a request to cancel and cash out an unneeded long-term care policy. I noticed I was billed again, about a month later. I received in the mail that same day a letter denying my request because the signature doesn't match what they have on file. I called Allstate and they told me all I can do is resubmit and ensure the signature matches, but it'll be declined again if it still doesn't. I was told I'd lose the accrued value if I disputed the charge or stopped the payments. I'm at a loss. My signature hasn't changed. Any suggestions?

I’m moving out of NY to another state soon for my masters and the school requires that I either have full coverage health insurance or I purchase theirs which is $4,500+. Is there any health insurance plan either in NY or nationally that I can enroll in which would allow me to be seen for any medical purpose out of my home state? My current insurance is health first but it is an HMO which only allows me to be seen at UC/ED for emergent purposes only. The school requires non-emergent purpose insurance as well.

I (23, F) had my first pap smear this year and during the exam, the doctor ordered I have labs done as well. He collected my sample, but now I have a bill in the mail because the lab did testing. I am just so confused because I thought this would be covered since it’s part of my preventive annual exam. I am not sure what to do, should I call insurance or the lab who did the testing? Do I call the doctors office? Do I call insurance and ask to appeal? This is my first time navigating this and I’m not quite sure what to do.
